What content did you find useful about this website?
This website offers great resources for students to use on their own or for students to explore and learn about the US government and the role we play in selecting the president of the United States. The three main sections of this website include How the Government Works for You, Step Inside the Voting Booth, and Be President for a Day. How the Government Works for You allows students to explore a community to learn about the role of the government plays and how it helps us and in different parts of our communities. Step Inside the Voting Booth allows students to learn about the importance of voting and the impact their vote can have in the outcome of a presidential election. The site looks as if it follows the most recent elections, but also gives great facts about previous hurdles laws have made in allowing different people to vote throughout history. Lastly, Be a President for a Day allows students to learn about their President and the different jobs they have. The activity gives students a chance to choose what the they would do if they were President and gives some detail on what would happen if they chose certain activities.

Specific outcome of visiting this site:
In using this website, I would want students to come out learning about the importance of voting and the impact they can make on their government and the community around them. Students can make their own decision on who they would want to be President of the United States by doing their own research on the website. The Meet the Candidates section of the website gives simple facts about the presidential candidates and allows students to form their own opinions on who they would believe would be best for our country. This is a great site that really promotes the interest of students in the governmental processes in selecting a president and could be a way to motivate their parents to vote and get them to vote in the future.
